Nadine Gordimer writes, “Once Upon a Time” very effectively. The content and the irony in it can be understood easily. You do not have to be an analytical genius to understand the purpose and theme behind the story. Nevertheless, the message this story provides is very important. The theme can teach many lessons that you can use in your daily life, especially since the issue that this book deals with are real issues. This story will drag you into it and make you think , which is why you should read it! It is a fairy tale with a real life twist and a not so happy ending.
